Prudence L. Henry, age 86, of Corea, died peacefully in Portland on Oct. 4, 2021. Prudy was born in Lewiston, to Harry and Winifred Lewis (Pinkham). She married her beloved husband, Buck Henry, Jan. 18, 1958, in Poland. Prudence attended the Shaker School in New Gloucester, New Gloucester High School, and graduated with a diploma in nursing from Eastern Maine General Hospital in Bangor. She worked as a registered nurse in Virginia and Maine. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority in Virginia. Prudence was a Hospice Volunteer of Hancock County, Dorcas Library volunteer and member of the Corea Baptist Church.
Prudence was known for her kindness. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Prudy enjoyed sewing, reading and baking for her family and friends.
Prudence was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred L. (Buck) Henry, and parents, Harry and Winifred Lewis (Pinkham). Prudence is survived by daughters Leslie Henry and Hilary Henry Haley; sister Betsy Turner; granddaughters Lindsay, Sage and Mary; sons-in-law Kim and Scott; grandson-in-law George; four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

A service will be planned in spring 2022 at Corea Cemetery.
