Barbara Helen (Heard) Garfield, 97, died at home on Oct. 1, 2021. Barbara was born on June 2, 1924, in Gloucestershire, England, to parents Harold and Annie (Tanner) Heard.
Barbara began work at the United States Post Office in 1962 in Brewster, Cape Cod, and retired in 1988 from South Yarmouth. In her spare time, she enjoyed oil painting, knitting, reading, and she was an avid equestrian.
Barbara is survived by her son Wayne and his wife, Elizabeth Garfield, and a daughter, Diana, and her husband, Raymond Tesson; grandchildren, Kimberly Garfield and her partner Cassandra, Brian Garfield and his partner Leah, Jennifer and her husband, Jeffrey Arey, Jacqueline and her husband, Chad Erwin, and Danielle Tesson and her partner Paul; great-grandchildren Alishba, Shazy, Maleeha, Aleena and Myla Tasneem; Gryphon and Gabriel Arey; Abigail and Samantha Erwin; and Hailey Mitchell and Chelsea Cunningham.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 16, 2021, at the Faith Community Fellowship Church in Trenton.
