Jaime Lynn Geel, 42, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 18, 2021, after complications from kidney failure.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1978, to parents Kerry Elwood and Valorie (Parritt) Geel of Columbia. She graduated from Narraguagus High School in 1997.
Jaime was excellent academically. She enjoyed tending the family garden and she was very serious about growing the tallest sunflowers. She was a loved mother, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed watching NASCAR with her love, Jake. Heavy metal was her music genre of choice, and she loved all things animals and always looked forward to the Kentucky Derby with much excitement.
Jaime was always enamored by the night sky, the moon especially.
She was a prankster from a young girl, which she passed on to her son Dylan. Their enjoyment and laughter resulting from startling each other with an air horn they kept hidden through the house still humors us today.
She loved decorating for Halloween and always welcomed the neighborhood kids.
Jaime always did things her way, she had a stubborn streak that is also instilled in her daughter Molly. She was always up for a laugh and always worried about other kids at school, if they had what they needed. Jaime had a big heart and it served her well many times over her short life.
Jaime was predeceased by her grandparents, Charlotte (Lottie) and Royce Geel of Jonesboro, Leslie C. Parritt Jr. of Steuben, Ann and Nathan Norton of Addison; and two special uncles, Mitch Geel of Jonesboro and later Bangor, and Bill Wilkes, originally of Columbia and later Massachusetts.
She leaves behind three amazing children, Dylan, 17, Jacob, 15, and Molly, 8 years old; her parents, Kerry and Valorie Geel, of Columbia; and her only sibling, sister Nicole Leighton of Steuben. She is also survived by the love of her life, Jake White of Columbia, and his family and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jaime will be missed, beyond measure.
A celebration of life will be determined in the future.
