Chuck Scott-Henderson, 81, died at home in Seal Cove on June 23, 2021, with his wife by his side and his two cats on his lap. Chuck was born Charles George Henderson Jr. on March 27, 1940, to Charles George Henderson and Harriett Aspergren Henderson in Battle Creek, Mich. He legally changed his name to Chuck Scott-Henderson in 1975 when he married his former wife, Nicki Scott.
Chuck graduated from Myers Park High School in Charlotte, N.C. He briefly attended UNC. Chuck’s interests included photography, racing, sailing, trains and most sports. He volunteered for Relay for Life for 15 years. He enjoyed taking long trips following the railroad tracks with his beloved wife, Deb. He was proprietor of Tidal Graphics for over 20 years. Chuck was a longtime member of Church of Our Father in Hulls Cove. He especially loved going to breakfast with his friends on Friday mornings.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Deb, his daughter Merrie Henderson and her partner Don Hall of Villa Rica, Ga., Merrie’s mother, Danya Hawley, of Charlotte, N.C., stepdaughters Danielle Baker and her husband, Brian, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Darlene Wells and her husband, Craig, of Morrisonville, N.Y., Katrina Spofford of Seal Cove and stepson Dan Spofford and his wife, Melissa, of Lamoine.
Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Harriett Henderson, and his sister, Marjorie Henderson.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept.4, 2021, at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Southwest Harbor. A reception will be held on the lawn, weather permitting.
