Ellsworth
Eleanor W. Wiggin, 97, passed away Aug. 15, 2021, at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital, Ellsworth. She was born in Northeast Harbor, Dec. 1, 1923, the daughter of Harvey and Marion (Kittridge) Whitten.
Eleanor graduated from Bar Harbor High School in 1941 and upon graduation worked at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. In later years, she worked at Moore’s Drug Store and later at J.T. Rosborough before her retirement. She was a volunteer for 20 years at Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County, Ellsworth.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Morrison and Lois Shapazian and husband, Shap, of Ellsworth; two granddaughters, Lisa Scott and husband, Erik, of Orange, Calif., and Lori Reck and husband, Matt, of Arlington, Mass; and four great-grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no visiting hours with private burial. The family would like to thank the staff at Seaport Village for all their care and kindness and her nurses and doctors who cared for her at Maine Coast Hospital.
