Bert E. Sinclair, “Sonny,” age 65, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 6, 2021. Sonny was born in Bangor, May 31, 1956, the son of Lawrence and Ethel Sinclair.
Sonny will be sadly missed by countless friends and family; he is and was one of a kind with a giant heart. Throughout his years, he often opened his door to people who had no place to go.
Sonny is survived by his daughter Jamie and husband, John Crawford, daughter Amy and husband, Robert Hamilton, daughter Nicole and husband, Gregory Adams, daughter Brianna Crane, daughter Ashley Sinclair, daughter Shannon-Gebo and partner Gabe MacGregor and daughter Shawna Morse. He is also survived by grandchildren William LaVerdiere, Jade Brown, Kelly Skillings, Koda Sinclair, Rhianne Hamilton, Mya and Avah Adams, Tyler Parsons, Lydia and Adeline Stanwood, Bryce MacGregor, Natalie Estabrook, Peyton Corkum and great-grandchildren Marshall Sinclair and Deagan Daniel.
Sonny leaves behind his siblings, Lawrence Randy Sinclair Sr., Ricky Sinclair and wife, Jane, Lucinda Sargent and husband, Michael, Deborah Sinclair, Tanya Morse, John Sinclair and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and extended family. It would be nice to write everyone’s name down who Sonny loved and who loved him in his 65 years, however, this would end up being a novel.
Sonny was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, brother Charlie Sinclair, grandson Jesse Sinclair, nephews Randy Sinclair Jr. and Jake Sinclair. He is now reunited with his loved ones in Heaven.
Sonny spent time working in the blueberry factories, worming and clamming, and most of all for the family business, Sinclair Builders, where he loved to organize and manage projects at Lakes Lane. One could often find him with his rock music blaring while working around the warehouse. In Sonny’s spare time, he enjoyed reading the Uncle Henrys and constantly looking for a “deal.” If you knew him well, you will remember seeing his various bargains he had on his lawn to make an extra dollar. His sense of humor always brightened up the day and he absolutely loved to chase women and drive fast cars.
Sonny definitely lived his life like a rock star. We will remember not just that you died, but that you truly lived. Your life gave us wonderful memories that cannot be forgotten; see you on the other side.
