Skye was born Jan. 15, 1993, in Peoria, Ill., daughter of Joseph K. and Ronda (Durham) DeBeck. Skye spent her early years in Illinois prior to moving to Trenton. She attended Trenton Elementary School and graduated from Ellsworth High in 2011. During her school years, she participated in gymnastics, cross-country and track.

She created a painting for each track on its album “The Dark Side of the Moon.” Attending Pink Floyd’s The Wall Concert in Boston with her father and brother was among the top moments in her life.

Skye was a very outspoken, passionate young woman and loved a lively discussion on numerous topics. After graduating, she was employed at Harbor Ridge, Jackson Laboratory, and at the time of death, she was a floral merchandiser for Keys Inc. of Concord, N.H.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Woodbine Cemetery in Ellsworth with Pastor Robert Maddocks officiating.
