Jerome “Jerry” A. Picard, 62, died May 7, 2021. Jerry was born May 13, 1958, in Portsmouth, Va., the son of Joseph E.E. and Anita T. (Thibeault) Picard, both deceased. He achieved his Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America in Virginia Beach, Va. He graduated from Sumner Memorial High School in Sullivan in 1976.
Jerry loved cooking, 1950s music and beachcombing for sea glass, pottery and driftwood. He also collected rocks on which he painted. He worked in food service his entire career, starting in Maine and continuing in Florida, working mostly at Publix.
He is survived by his siblings, Stephanie and Peter McKenzie, Michael and Teresa Picard, all of Birch Harbor; Cheryl Picard of Milford; Karen Kirchman of Hancock; Jeffrey Picard of Milford, Conn.; Rachel and Henry Bluing of Escondido, Calif.; and Joseph and Erna Picard of Harvest, Ala.; Aunt Lucille and Uncle Jerry of Albany, N.Y.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by siblings Marie and Debbie Doo; and paternal grandparents Edmond and Blanche Picard.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Birch Harbor Baptist Church with Bill Thomas officiating.
