Franklin

April 8, 2021, Charles was greeted by his parents, Gerald and Maxine; brother, Donnie; special uncle, Bullet; and Beth Mace (Baby Beth). At his feet were Jasmine and Moonshine.

Charles was born April 21, 1954, at Ellsworth. He attended Ellsworth schools and graduated in 1972. Charles worked at Shop ’n Save, St. Regis and as a surveyor for the state of Maine. His dream job was that of working with his brother, Donnie. He enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball for Bert & I, with and against his many friends. He loved hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. His happiest day was Sept. 4, 1985, when his son, Joshua was born.

Charlie will forever be remembered for his smile, his jokes and his kind heart.

He is survived by his son, Joshua, of Franklin; granddaughter, Keanna, of Franklin; brother, Thomas, and wife, Irene, of Levant; sister, Diane, and husband, Steve, of Hancock; one nephew; two nieces, one of whom was the twinkle in his eye; one great-nephew; three great-nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins, and all the friends-turned-family over the years.

A memorial service will be held at Franklin Veterans Club 4-7 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Ellsworth, where online condolences may be shared: www.bragdonkelley.com.
