Gale Starr Coughlin passed away at her home in Trenton surrounded by her family on Feb. 14, 2021, after a courageous battle with a prolonged illness. Gale was born April 26, 1960, at Loring Air Force Base, Limestone, Maine, to Irene Foss and Stanley Look. She graduated from Narraguagus High School. At one point she worked as a register of probate for four years.
Gale was courageous, funny, full of life and adventure, a selfless and kind person willing to help anyone at any time. Gale loved kayaking, camping, her job, and she loved being with people. But her greatest love in life was her family: her husband, children and grandchildren; they were her entire world. She will be forever loved and missed.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Coughlin, married since 1991; daughter Ashley and Bruce Gustafson, of Trenton; daughter Lacey and Allen Sawyer, of Milbridge; grandchildren Elise Wakefield, Gracie Gustafson, Haily Sawyer and Emily Sawyer; sister Tracy Kyle and Larry Kyle, Zephyrhills, Fla.; brother John Ryan Look and Megan Kroeger, Columbia Falls; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime best friends Rose Giosia and Eileen Freeman. She was predeceased by her grandson Bradan Michael Gustafson, her mother, Irene Foss, and her father, Stanley Look.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
