Bucksport

Marvin, son of Edward and Pearl, passed peacefully on Jan. 26 at his home with his family close with him. He graduated from Bucksport High School in 1955. He worked his career as a papermaker with St. Regis and Champion International.
He took pleasure in snowmobiling, taking his family on camping adventures and restoring old vehicles, but he especially enjoyed attending the many car shows and drive-ins at restaurants throughout the state with his classic vehicle collection. His latest restoration project was a 1969 Dodge truck, as he was certainly a Dodge man and his vintage vehicle collection showed off his pride for them!
He leaves behind his wife, Sonya (Bowden), and four sons — Dave of Penobscot, Jeff and Kelley of Bucksport, Tim and Kris of Waldoboro and Mike and Kathy of Bucksport. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and his special niece, Barb Ames of Verona Island.
A private, graveside burial will be held with the immediate family later this spring.
