BROOKLIN – Wesley Martin Flye, also known as “Wes” to his friends, 60, died unexpectedly Aug. 5, 2016. He was born Nov. 23, 1955, in Blue Hill, the son of Chester and Ruth (Bartlett) Flye.
Wesley graduated from George Stevens Academy. He was a self-employed fisherman, and an avid hunter and trapper. He loved being in the woods and camping out on the islands.
Wes is survived by his wife, Sherry (Carter) Flye; his daughter Jessica Beal; son Joshua Flye; an Aunt Hazel Hunt; a sister Shirley Flye and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Chester and Ruth (Bartlett) Flye, brothers Richard Flye and Kermit Flye and a sister, Patricia Myers.
A service of remembrance will be held at Mount Ephraim Cemetery, North Brooklin, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. Potluck after at Becky Myers, 921 Bay Road, Brooklin. Those coming are encouraged to bring a dish to share. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the First Bank of Blue Hill in memory of Wesley Flye.
