Ashley Renee Martin, 33, passed away on July 25, 2020, at CAMC Memorial in Charleston, W.Va. She was born on Nov. 20, 1986, in Blue Hill, to Ellis and Dawn Martin. Ashley grew up in Sullivan.
Ashely was a homemaker and mother. She loved being home with her 12-year-old son, Dana “Bumpy” Dixon (or “Little Dana”) and companion of 14 years, Dana Dixon. She was a true friend who was very passionate about those she loved. And even though the health problems that she had her entire life were a daily struggle, she tried to live a “normal life.”
Ashley was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gene and Jackie Bare, and by her paternal grandmother, Geraldine Martin.
She is survived by life companion, Dana Dixon II, and son, Dana Dixon III, of Danese, W.Va.; father, Ellis Martin Sr., and stepmother, Carole Anne, of Gouldsboro; mother, Dawn Martin, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; sister, Sarah Lounder, and boyfriend, Dale Graham, of Franklin; brother, Ellis “Tim” Martin of Ellsworth; niece, Mackenzie Lounder of Franklin; nephew, Stephen Lounder of Franklin; and many other friends and extended family. She is also missed by her dog, Zeppelin.
A celebration of Ashley’s life will be held at a later date.
