HANCOCK
John Patrick Kocincki Jr., 51, passed away Dec. 24, 2019, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Providence, R.I., June 29, 1968, the son of John P. Sr. and Carol A. (Betters) Kocincki.
John grew up in Rhode Island and spent half his life in Providence. He and his family moved to Maine in 2002. He loved the outdoors and sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
He is survived by his parents of Providence, R.I.; his beloved wife, Susan (Sprague) Kocincki; five children, Heather Kocincki and fiancé David Hinojosa, Matthew Kocincki all of Machiasport, Holly Gallacher and husband, Matthew of Winterport, Cassondra Kocincki of Florida, and stepdaughter, Amber Kennedy of Hancock; two grandchildren, Moira and Elias; sister, Carol Lisi of Providence, R.I.; niece and nephew, Brendon and Amber Lisi as well as other extended family.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 3, with Pastor James Heard presiding. Private interment will be held in the spring at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
