BROOKLIN
Cynthia “Cindy” Tyler Bibler passed away on Sept. 12 at her home in Brooklin surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 15, 1939, in Blue Hill to Roy and Delia Tyler. She attended high school at George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill.
She married James N. Anderson and raised four children with him in Hudson, Mass. She lived in Shrewsbury, Mass., after marrying her second husband, Robert Bibler, until his passing in 1988 from lung cancer.
If she wasn’t walking the beach down to camp in Brooklin, where she spent much of her time, then she was at the Blue Hill YMCA meeting up with many of her friends, or, on a good low tide, she could be found in her white clamming boots digging just enough for “a mess of clams,” and every afternoon watching her “soaps.”
She is survived by her children, James T. Anderson and spouse Heidi of Shrewsbury, Mass., Joyce E. Anderson of Sedgwick, Nicky T. Anderson and spouse Cathy of Brooklin and Lisa G. Anderson of Sedgwick. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, who were more like sisters and brothers to her, and by her loving furry companion, Muffette.
There will be a memorial to celebrate her life held in Brooklin at a time to be announced in the spring of 2020.
In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the YMCA in Blue Hill.
Thank you to Northern Light Hospice for their care and support.
