Richard Torrey, 54, died unexpectedly on Sept. 16, 2019, at his home. He was born on April 20, 1965, in Bar Harbor to Charles Torrey and Frances Emery. Richard enjoyed working as an IT tech for First National Bank in Ellsworth for over 20 years and considered them to be his second family.
Richard is survived by his wife, Teresa Torrey, and his beloved daughter, Savannah, who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Katherine Leathers, nephew Christian Leathers and great-niece Raven Leathers, all of Trenton; sister-in-law Debra Snow of Dedham; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A benefit supper for the family will be held at the Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School at a later date.
