ELLSWORTH – Pamela E. (King) Davis, 61, passed away Feb. 16, 2016, peacefully at home. She was born June 5, 1954, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Leonard E. King and Marjorie V. (Conary) King. Pamela was a graduate of Ellsworth High School in Maine, Class of 1972. Recently retired, she formerly worked for Dupont-Merck in customer service for nearly 20 years and Allstate Pools for 14 years. In her early years she worked at Bernard’s Nursing Home in Maine and sang with a band for a number of years.
Pamela was passionate about animals and their welfare, helping local shelters. She was fond of cooking for others and often fed or helped the needy in her neighborhood. Her love of gardening and green thumb was evident everywhere she lived from landscaping to vegetable gardening.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Brandy Davis; her three grandchildren, Tori, Tristan and Reece; her mother, Marjorie (Conary) King; her brothers, Brian King of California, Neil King of Maine, and Larry King of Maine; as well as her sisters, Barbara Buchanan and husband Carlton of North Carolina, Janet Butler of Maine, Linda Jordan of Maine, Susan Pease and husband, David, of Massachusetts, Naomi Turcotte and husband, Tony, of Florida, and Rebecca Cozzens and husband Thomas of New Jersey; many nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Leonard, brother Richard, brother Robert, nephew, Brian Ashmore, and niece, Stephanie King.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Celebration of Life, Saturday, July 2, at 1 p.m., at Charlotte Rhoades Butterfly Garden, Southwest Harbor. Friends of family welcome.
