ELLSWORTH Claire B. Getchell, 71, passed away July 27, 2019, at her home. She was born in Stoughton, Mass., Aug. 12, 1947, the daughter of Bernard and Catherine (Barrett) Cassidy.
She graduated from Stoughton High School. Claire worked at Jackson Lab in health research as a lab tech for 10 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Ellsworth
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harold O. Getchell Jr.; sons, Mark H. Getchell of Worcester, Mass., Dana B. Getchell of Onset, Mass.; brother, Brian Cassidy, and wife, Jean, of Bridgewater, Mass.; sisters-in-law, Pauline C. Farley of Bernard and Barbara of Mattapoisett, Mass.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Aug. 6 at Hillrest Cemetery, W. Tremont.
