BROOKSVILLE – Nancy E. Thompson Bell passed away June 7, 2016. She was born in Lewiston on March 29, 1939, to Clifton and Annie Carter Thompson. She had a wonderful life, filled with many friends.
She spent years traveling the country and sea with her husband, and love of her life, Frank S. Bell. She was proud to become the Chapter Regent of the Majabigwaduce Chapter of the DAR, as she loved to celebrate her heritage and community. Nancy also co-founded Giving Hands, and made countless hats and quilts for newborns, patients and veterans.
Nancy’s final weeks were spent at her home under the care of her daughters, Sandra, Cheryl and Shannon, granddaughters, Darby and Hillary, and sister, Brenda. She received many visits from friends and neighbors, as well as a huge collection of thoughtful cards and flowers, which made her feel truly special.
Nancy is survived by sisters Barbara Bremer, and Brenda and Jim Stone; daughter Cheryl Bell and Phil Pollock; son John Bell; daughter-in-law Claire Jean; daughter Sandra and Dennis Rose; daughter Shannon and Dave Cadman; son Timothy Bell; grandchildren Jennifer and Mercedes Bell; Rebecca Wade and Joshua Cissell; Richard, Luc, and Renee Bell; Darby Rose; Hillary Lacombe; Amber Marin; and great-grandson Jaiden Wade.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; eldest son, Butch; parents, Clifton and Annie; brothers, Jack and Clifton Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Bell.
The Celebration of Life will take place 11:30 a.m., July 23, at West Brooksville Congregational Church, 1597 Coastal Road, followed by a reception.
