
EAGLE RIVER, ALASKA
Frieda Ann Herrmann Beltzer (Bunny/Chickie), 77, of Eagle River, Alaska, died peacefully March 1 after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 10, 1941, in Queens, N.Y., to Nandor and Ruby Herrmann.
Frieda was married Oct. 8, 1961, to William C. Beltzer in York, S.C. They raised three children; Laura M. Rosen and husband, Jeffrey, of Eagle River, Alaska, Scott Beltzer and wife, Jennifer, of Forest Hills, N.Y., and Steven G. Beltzer and wife, Anne Marie, of Kelso, Wash.
Frieda worked for 15 years at the Nassau County Clerk’s Office and was a supervisor. She enjoyed time with her family, prolific reading, crocheting blankets and watching “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” every night!
She lived in multiple locations: Surry, Maine, Whitestone and Wantagh, N.Y., Eagle River, Alaska, and Kelso, Wash.
Frieda was predeceased by her husband, a brother, Alfred “Butch” Herrmann, and sister, Helen “Mickey” Caverly.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah, Trentina, Nicholas, Adele and great-grandson Coen. Plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A special thanks to all Frieda’s doctors, nurses, caregivers and everyone who helped take such good care of her over the years.
