HANCOCK

Ronald Larry Pinkham, 63, died Jan. 22, 2019, after battling bone cancer. He was fourth born of 10 kids on Aug. 14, 1954, in Bangor, to Maxine (Urann) Pinkham and Harvey Pinkham. Ronnie grew up in Hancock, “Egypt Stream,” and built his home in Hancock.

Ron loved being on the ocean, whether it was fishing for fun or when he was out there making a living as a commercial fisherman. Ron was also a talented welder fabricator.

He enjoyed tending to his “garden” and his chickens. Time spent with friends and family always proved to be a good time — many stories shared seemed to have Ronnie up to something, that had others questioning if it was a good idea. He always had a smile under his big mustache.

Ron will be missed by his nine siblings, Douglas, Harvey, Susan, Evelyn, Nancy, David, Charlie, Brenda and Dwayne, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank his nephew, Matthew Chick, for the time and care you gave Ron during his battle with cancer. Your friendship with Ronnie over the years meant a lot to him.

Thank you, Northern Light Hospice, for providing exceptional care and support to Ron, and the support you gave to family and friends.

A party will be held this spring in Ron’s honor.
