Robert (“Robin”) (“Bob”) John Walls

Robert (“Robin”) (“Bob”) John Walls of Blue Hill passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 23, 2019, surrounded by loved ones.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born on June 23, 1932, the son of Anna (Lang) Walls and Greeley Walls Jr. He graduated from Gilman High School in Northeast Harbor. Bob served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed boating and fishing. He was a master gardener, skilled woodsman and carpenter. He owned a sawmill for several years and a landscaping business, designing many beautiful gardens. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Hill.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Beverly Gray Walls; four children, Timothy Walls of Blue Hill, Karen (and Walter) Morris of Garland, Melanie (and Bill) Sullivan of Coventry, R.I., and Shawn (and Kimberly) Walls of Phoenix, Ariz. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three brothers Norman, Richardand Hillard, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Blue Hill, 53 Pleasant St. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m.
