Leola (Joy) Trombley

Leola (Joy) Trombley, 88, of Winter Harbor passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 21, 2018. Leola was born in Gouldsboro on July 11, 1930, daughter of Lawrence and Leitha Joy.

Leola was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Richard “Dick” Trombley Sr.

Leola attended Husson University, where she received a degree in business. After college, she worked at Stinson’s Seafood Cannery until she met her husband. Leola spent many years traveling with her husband, who was in the Navy. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling to NCVA conventions, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sitting on the “front porch.”

She is survived by her sister, Erma Mcguirl of Warwick, R.I., sons, Michael Trombley and his wife, Jennifer, of Portland, and Richard “Rick” Trombley Jr. of Ellsworth, daughter, Ramona Trombley of Winter Harbor; grandchildren Trisha, Justin, Michael, Ricky, Taylor and Maryah; great-grandchildren Liana, Zachary and Broady; and good friend Barbara Jean.

Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means we will miss you until we meet again. As long as we have our memories, you will never be forgotten.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, from 4-6 p.m. at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge. The funeral will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home in Milbridge, followed by a celebration of life gathering at the Elks Lodge in Ellsworth, 317 High St., from 3-6 p.m. Interment will be in West Bay Cemetery in Gouldsboro.
