Hazel M. Phinney (Robinson), 88, born Dec. 23, 1929, in Steuben, passed away peacefully Nov. 11, 2018, at home surrounded by family.
Hazel’s interests included gardening, cooking, shopping and caring for children. She was an active member of the Sullivan town office doing bingo and managing the thrift store for many years.
Hazel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Samuel Andrews, siblings Rodney Robinson, Dexter Huntley, Erma Sholtis and Elsie Butler, grandchildren John, Carrie, Willy and Danielle, great-grandchildren Big Ashley, Bobby, LT, Kenny, Frank, Ashley, Cassidy, Mariah, Britney, Sierra, Nick, Jack, Alyssa, Beth, Adella, Sam and Isaac, great-great-grandchildren Emma, Dylan, Blake, Parker, Cole, Alex, Brayden and Bennett. And two in the oven, coming spring ’19. She was predeceased by her mother, Adella Robinson, son, Frank Reed, brothers, Earland, Daniel and Robert.
A celebration of life will be held Dec. 1, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Bible Baptist Church of Hancock, 986 U.S. Highway 1.
